Whois.exe / Whois64.exe (SysInternals)

Lookup the registration record for a domain name or IP address.

Syntax
      WHOIS [-v] domainname [whois.server]

Options:

   Domainname  Either a DNS name (e.g. www.sysinternals.com) or IP address (e.g. 66.193.254.46).

     -v        Print whois information for referrals.

Examples

Lookup the registration record for myspace.com:

C:\> whois.exe myspace.com

“Events, dear boy, events” ~ British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan (answer to 'what is the biggest problem in politics'?)
